A thoughtfully designed renovation of a newly purchased home in Hawaii Kai, Oahu, completed before the homeowner moved in. The project included a complete kitchen remodel, three bathroom renovations, and a custom laundry room, with modern finishes, new lighting, custom cabinetry, and purposeful storage throughout the renovated spaces.

When the homeowner purchased this Hawaii Kai residence, the plan from the start was to renovate several key areas before moving in. JR Builders Hawaii was brought in to transform the kitchen, three bathrooms, and laundry room, giving the homeowner the opportunity to personalize these spaces and have them ready for everyday living from day one. The renovation focused on more than updating the appearance of the home. Each space was thoughtfully planned to improve functionality, increase storage, and introduce a clean, modern design. Custom cabinetry, new lighting, upgraded fixtures, and carefully selected finishes helped create a cohesive look throughout the areas we renovated. By completing the work before move-in, the homeowner was able to begin this next chapter in a home already tailored to the way they wanted to live.
The kitchen underwent a complete renovation with new cabinetry, appliances, fixtures, finishes, and lighting. A large central island became the centerpiece of the space, providing generous storage and additional room for food preparation, gathering, and entertaining. Pendant lights highlight the island, while new ceiling lighting brightens the kitchen. Integrated appliance storage helps maintain the clean, streamlined appearance of the cabinetry.
Each of the home's three bathrooms received its own transformation. The primary bathroom features a new shower with a built-in niche, updated vanity and fixtures, and access to the adjoining walk-in closet. Another bathroom features a spacious shower with a glass enclosure and extensive storage cabinetry, while the guest bathroom received its own updated fixtures and finishes.
The laundry room was designed as a hardworking multipurpose space rather than simply a utility room. A new sink, built-in cabinetry, generous storage, and dedicated work surfaces provide plenty of room for folding, organizing, and managing everyday household tasks.
Throughout the renovated spaces, new lighting, custom cabinetry, upgraded fixtures, and carefully selected finishes bring the project together with a clean, modern look. The result is a collection of highly functional spaces designed around the homeowner and the way they wanted to live in their new Hawaii Kai home.
